Logger 1.3.0 Released

Posted by Tyler Muth on April 16, 2010

I just posted version 1.3.0 of Logger. This version includes the following:

  • Fixed major flaw in time calculation used in time_start/time_stop
  • Changed implementation of LOG_APEX_ITEMS to use the APEX views so explicit privs on wwv_flow_data are not required.

Not a huge issue, but the version is 1.2.2 post installation.

Thanks for finding that. I’ve been updating version numbers in multiple files manually and as you can see, it’s not the way to do it. You motivated me to do what I should have done a while ago which is to add a version number parameter to my build script. build.sh now accepts a version number parameter then runs sed on a few files. You can either update that row in logger_prefs or do a full re-install. The only thing I changed was that single row.

Yeah, I updated the logger_pref table manually, not a big deal. Sounds like a nice fix for the future though.

Thanks for all of the hard work on this utility – it is really great.

    Hi there,

I am trying to use the apex autocomplete feature and i am stuck at the process point.
Where do i create the process point? Currently, i am creating in on-load before header. And somehow my textfield keeps getting process not found. Can you help?

    Hi Tyler,

I am very interested in the logger utility, but have a trouble downloading from https://logger.samplecode.oracle.com/source/browse/*checkout*/logger/tags/1.3.0/logger_1.3.0.zip and it complains The Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted.

Do you have other link that I can download the package?

    logger is not correctly uploaded!!!
    Like Shuhai mentioned :

    The download link is broken.

In the zip file there’s no sql file.

    Can you please fix it!
